PELUM Commemorates the 6th Zambian Traditional Seed and Food Festival
The 6th Zambian traditional seed and food festival, an annual event organized by a consortium of civil society organizations and meant to promote local seeds for seed sovereignty, local foods for nutrition and income generation PELUM Zambia under the Knowledge Hub for Organic Agriculture in Southern Africa (KHSA) and in collaboration with a 15-member consortium of civil society organizations advocating for environmental sustainability through organic agriculture and agroecology has brought together smallholder farmers from the 10 provinces of Zambia to celebrate local seeds, share and exchange local seeds as well as knowledge for food and nutrition security in a changing climate.
